4. USING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Retention

Automatic decision-making
We engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.
Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.
Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

5. SELLING PERSONAL INFORMATION
You have a right to know whether your personal information is sold. Your personal information is sold when it is shared with a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration for a purpose that is not a “business purpose” as set forth by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (the “CCPA”).
Kuretake does not sell any Personal Information that it collects through the Site, as defined by the CCPA.
6. RIGHTS TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
Request for Information
Pursuant to California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents have the right under certain circumstances to receive, once per calendar year, information about third parties with whom we have shared information about you or your family for the marketing purposes of third parties during the previous calendar year, a description of the categories of personal information shared, and a description o the nature of the business with whom it was shared.
To make such a request, please contact Kuretake through the contact information set forth below. Please include in the subject line of any e-mail making such request: “California Privacy Request.” In the e-mail request, please also identify the website address and domain name, your name, the e-mail address registered to that domain, and mailing address. If you fail to provide sufficient and reasonable identifying information, your request may be rejected.
7. CCPA
If you are a resident of California, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you (also known as the ‘Right to Know’), to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact us through the contact information below.
You have the right to request, twice a year and free of charge, information that Kuretake collects, uses, discloses, and sells by following the instructions under “Making a Request” below.
You may delete your personal information collected or maintained by Kuretake by following the instructions under “Making a Request” below. We cannot keep a record of individuals whose personal information we have deleted so you may be contacted again by us, should we come into possession of your personal information at a later date.
If you decide to delete your personal information, you may lose out on coupons or other targeted incentives that may save you money. In order to keep these incentives, Kuretake must have access to your identifiers and Commercial Information listed below. If Kuretake offers any loyalty programs or other incentives, you will have to “opt-in” to have access to use programs or incentives, but if you have requested to have your personal information deleted via the methods set forth herein, you will not longer have access to these programs or incentives.

9. SOCIAL MEDIA
Kuretake is active on social media, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn (“Social Media”). Anything you post on Social Media is public information and will not be treated confidentially. We may post (or re-post) on the Site and our Social Media pages any comments or content that you post on our Social Media pages. You agree to hold company and its affiliates harmless and without liability for the results of any and all content you post on kuretake’s social media.
The Site allows you to connect and share data with Social Media. These features may require us to use cookies, plug-ins, and application programming interfaces (“APIs”).
10. RIGHT TO ACCESS AND DELETION

Making a Request
To make a request for information or deletion pursuant to the CCPA, please contact Kuretake at the e-mail address provided below in the “Contact” section of this Privacy Policy.
In your request, please include the subject line of your request (e.g., if you are asking for information, please state in your subject line: “CCPA – Request for Information”). In the message, please ensure that you provide sufficient information that allows us to verify you are the person about whom we collected information, and you must describe your request with sufficient detail that will enable us to understand, evaluate, and respond to such request properly.
Once we have sufficiently determined your identity and the nature of your request, we will take reasonable steps to fulfill your request for information or for deletion within forty-five (45) days. If we require additional time, we will inform you of the reason and the extension period.
Any disclosures we make will only over the twelve (12) month period preceding our receipt of your request. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your information to you. You may be charged a fee to process or respond to a request if it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.
Data Security
Kuretake takes seriously the security of your personal and other information you may provide us when you use or access our Site. We use technical, administrative, and procedural measures in conjunction with our service provider Shopify to safeguard your information from unauthorized access. However, no such measure is ever perfect, and we do not guarantee that your information will be secure from theft, loss, or unauthorized access or use. Kuretake makes no representation as to the reasonableness, efficacy, or appropriateness of the measures we use to safeguard your information.
Users are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of their own passwords.

Designating an Authorized Agent
You may designate an authorized agent to exercise any rights you may have under the CCPA by:
