Q. Is it easy to replace the ink refill?
A. Yes. Simply open the cap and remove the empty refill. Take off the transparent cap and protector from the new refill, insert it into the pen body, and twist until it is securely in place.
1) Remove the cap and take out the used refill.
2) Remove the transparent cap and protector from the new refill.
3) Insert the new refill into the pen body and twist until it is secure.
4) Attach the cap to the back of the pen and enjoy your new color. Since the tip is also new, it will feel as smooth as the first time you used it.
Q. Can I use the new refill with my old COCOIRO pen?
A. While the new refill can fit into the old body, we do not recommend it. For the best writing experience, we suggest using the new COCOIRO pen body with the new refills.

Q. Should I throw away the transparent cap and protector from the refill?
A. The transparent cap and protector are only there to keep the refill safe before use. Once the refill is set in the pen, you can dispose of them. Alternatively, you can use the transparent cap to store a removed refill—just make sure it clicks securely into place.
Q. The refill sticks out from the pen body. Is that normal?
A. Yes! This is actually part of the design. That way, whenever you remove the cap and place it on the back of the pen, the pen still maintains its sleek, streamlined shape. This also makes it easy to see the ink color and check how much is left at a glance.
